Tanker Driver Jobs

A tanker driver drives a truck with a tank that is specialized for transporting liquefied loads. A tanker driver drives such tank trucks to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, lubricating oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers. A tanker driver drives the given truck into position to load at a filling rack and opens valves or starts pumps in order to fill the tank. A tanker driver reads gauges or meters and records the quantity of liquid loaded. A tanker driver drives the truck to the given customer's premises. A tanker driver connects a hose to the tank and opens a valve. A tanker driver records the amount delivered and issues a ticket to the customer. A tanker driver operates in a safe manner and in accordance with all legal requirements, policies, and procedures. A tanker driver is responsible for the completion of paperwork, including vehicle check sheets and a driver's log sheet.
A tanker driver should have a high school education or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of driving experience. A tanker driver must have a valid driver's license. A tanker driver should have be able to undertake the safe operation of vacuum tankers. A tanker driver should have good customer service skills. A tanker driver must be healthy and in good physical condition.
