A Class A professional analyzes and reviews budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants. A Class A professional is responsible for monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. A Class A professional prepares and reviews budgets, revenues, expenses, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents. A Class A professional analyzes revenue and expenditure trends and recommends appropriate budget levels, ensuring expenditure control. A Class A professional explains billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients. A Class A professional must resolve any accounting discrepancies.
A Class A professional should have a bachelor\'s degree in accounting plus three to five years of accounting experience. A strong candidate must be able to interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits. A strong candidate should also have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles and the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. A strong candidate should likewise have excellent accounting skills and computer skills and the ability to work under pressure.
