Transportation Supervisor Jobs
A transportation supervisor acts a focal point, reviewing the travel orders and related documents presented by command representatives and prospective travelers. A transportation supervisor drafts and manages internal quality surveillance procedures for commercial travel and provides unit commanders and travelers counseling in regard to excess costs chargeable and applicable transportation endorsements in support of commercial travel. A transportation supervisor maintains daily contact and constant working relationships with all CTO satellite sites, obtaining quotes on passenger fares, reservations for air travel, commercial lodging, and rental cars. A transportation supervisor also provides daily guidance and liaison assistance pertaining to passenger transportation entitlements to the unit level and command level order writing and port call sections.
A transportation supervisor must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower qualifying pay band or the GS-07 level. A transportation supervisor arranges transportation for or performs other actions in connection with the movement of freight, passengers, or personal property by government or commercial means.
