Transportation Coordinator Jobs
A transportation coordinator bears sole responsibility within the company for clerical support, administrative assistance, and logistic services. A transportation coordinator provides administrative guidance and advice to supervisors and employees on matters pertaining to employee benefits and compensation. A transportation coordinator administers awards, performance appraisals, etc. and is responsible for ensuring the accomplishment of related administrative requirements. A transportation coordinator maintains the appointment calendar, answers inquiries, and furnishes information of a nontechnical nature. A transportation coordinator performs work involving the planning, directing, and operating of rail, motor, air, or water transportation systems and services, including the operation of both transportation service and terminal facilities.
A bachelor's degree is typically required for a transportation coordinator position. In addition, a transportation coordinator must possess at least one year of relevant specialized experience. A transportation coordinator should also have knowledge of various software programs used in the support of office operations and the production of a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and graphs.
