Transportation Consultant Jobs

A transportation consultant is responsible for leading and managing interdisciplinary teams responsible for the development of transportation policies, standards, and regulations. A transportation consultant manages rule-making projects, develops project schedules, and determines priorities in consultation with program offices and management. A transportation consultant tracks resources and project schedules. A transportation consultant develops regulatory amendments and changes in clearly defined areas and assists in the development of regulatory changes in more complex areas. A transportation consultant serves as an expert consultant on regulatory matters at public proceedings, advisory committees, and industry meetings. A transportation consultant provides detailed technical advice and assistance, such as program and policy guidance, to a wide variety of groups and individuals.

A transportation consultant must have at least one year of specialized experience. Furthermore, a transportation consultant should have experience leading a team of employees in accomplishing assigned projects and meeting milestones and project objectives.
